As a lawyer specialized in economic public law with a particular focus on competition law, Rodolfo has extensive knowledge and experience providing advisory and representation services to clients across all areas of competition law and regulation. Rodolfo has worked both in the public sector, as a legal officer at the FNE, and in private practice, where he has represented Chilean and international clients before the Competition Tribunal of Chile (TDLC), the Competition Authority (National Economic Prosecutors’ Office -FNE), and different tiers of the judiciary, such as the Ordinary Courts of Justice, Courts of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of Justice.

At the FNE, Rodolfo was part of the team in charge of designing and implementing Chile’s merger control regime, in force since 2017. In this capacity, he led teams of lawyers and economists in the assessment of various M&A review cases and co-drafted the FNE’s Guidelines on Remedies. This experience provides Rodolfo with unique insights and a valuable perspective of competition law and policy.

Rodolfo's practice includes advising companies on the regulatory regimes in various industries, such as retail payment systems, Fintech industry, telecommunications, electricity, and pharmaceutical. He has also advised clients in high-profile cases and represented them in courts in areas such as civil law, domestic arbitration, natural resources, and energy. Rodolfo has represented clients in public law proceedings, including cases before the Constitutional Tribunal and administrative claims before the Courts of Appeals of Chile.

Representing the client in a non-contentious proceeding before the Supreme Court of Justice. Advising and representing the company in its relationship with the Central Bank and the Competition Authority. Representing the client before the Constitutional Tribunal against Mastercard.

• FLOW S.A. (Fintech, Payment Service Provider): Representing the client in a non-contentious proceeding before the Supreme Court of Justice. Advising and representing the company in its relationship with the Central Bank and the Competition Authority.

• ASILFA (Association of Pharmaceutical Companies): Representing the client in a non-contentious proceeding before the Competition Tribunal.

• Ministry of Agriculture - ODEPA: Co-authored the report “Competition law tools to enable ODEPA monitor competition conditions in the agriculture, forestry and livestock sectors” commissioned by the Ministry.
